Making a soaked mash in winter weather- helpful or not?
From a non-scientific standpoint in my own herd of misfits, I find feeding a soupy mash in bad weather to make ME feel better (which does have some value!) by seeing the horse consume a gallon or so of warm water at each meal, but not increase overall amount of water consumed throughout the day.
